A cozy gingerbread cottage sits in the middle of this page. It has wavy icing along the roof, strings of round ornament lights and a heart near the peak. Above the arched front door, which has a candy cane frame and a wreath with a bow, a round four-pane window glows. Two more round windows and two little hearts decorate the walls, and the corners have candy cane stripes. On the right, a brick chimney wears a snowy cap. Out front, a smiling snowman in a knit hat and scarf waves his stick arms near snowy paths, with a snow-covered pine tree on each side. Stars and a crescent moon fill the sky. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the house walls and the big peaked roof section with caramel tan, and color the winding path with pale sand.
- 2Color the evergreen trees on both sides and the tree in the bottom right with forest green, and shade the far right tree with slate gray.
- 3Fill the round windows, the stars and the moon-free sky spots with golden yellow, keeping the window frames white.
- 4Color the snowman's hat and scarf, the heart ornaments and the bow on the wreath with bright red, and fill the chimney bricks with brick red.
- 5Color the door, the wreath leaves and the steps with chocolate brown and forest green, leaving the snow, the snowman's body and the sky white.
- 6Optional: add a little blush pink to the candy cane stripes and a touch of stone gray on the steps for depth.
