Waving Snowman in a Tall Top Hat

Coloring guide
This happy snowman has both stick arms up in a wave, and each branch splits into little forked fingers. His tall top hat has a wide band and brim. His round face has big shiny eyes, raised eyebrows, rosy cheek curves and a wide smile, and the carrot nose is long and pointy with a few ridged lines. Three stacked snowballs form the body, with round buttons down the middle and lower sections, and he sits on a small wavy mound of snow at the bottom of the page. Bold lines and large shapes make it a good match for preschoolers and early learners still working on crayon control. An orange nose, a deep blue or black hat with a bright red band, and brown twiggy arms would look great. Print it free for classroom time or a rainy day. Love this Snowman coloring page? A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- charcoal gray
- bright red
- warm brown
- carrot orange
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Leave the snowman's round head, both body circles, and the snow patch at the bottom white, since they stay white in this example.
- 2Color the two twig arms warm brown, keeping the small forked tips white.
- 3Fill the top hat crown, the hat brim, and the three round buttons with charcoal gray.
- 4Color the band around the hat bright red.
- 5Fill the carrot nose in carrot orange, working across its three sections so it looks like one carrot.
- 6Optional: add light, scribbly back-and-forth strokes on the hat and buttons for a sketchy, hand-drawn look.
