Waving Tabby Kitten in a Rocket, Space Jam Space Page

Coloring guide
The heart of this page is a smiling striped kitten in a space helmet and suit, waving from the round porthole of a big, chunky rocket. The rocket tilts diagonally as it zooms upward, with a curved fin on each side and a jagged, flickering flame trailing from the bottom. Panel lines and little rivets around the window break it into lots of sections to color. Outside, a ringed planet sits in the top left, cratered moons or asteroids are scattered around, two shooting stars have swooshing tails, and plenty of stars and tiny circles fill the sky. Big shapes are easy for younger kids, and the small details will keep older ones busy. Orange and yellow stripes on the kitten, a bright red rocket body and a flame fading from orange to yellow would look great. Print the free PDF at home for classroom time or a rainy day. This fits right in with our Space Jam coloring pages — see also Bluey and Tom and Jerry.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the two big rocket fins and the tip of the nose: color them red, and leave the thin stripes near the edges for the yellow step.
- 2Color the rocket flames at the bottom: bright orange on the outer flame and lemon yellow on the inner flames.
- 3Fill the thick band at the bottom of the rocket and the lower body panels with royal blue, and use light blue for the upper nose panel and the window stripe.
- 4Paint the ringed planet: lemon yellow stripes on top, amber and pale yellow bands below, and sky blue for the ring. Leave the small shiny spots on the ring white.
- 5Color the cat's face light tan and the astronaut helmet navy blue, and fill the porthole ring with navy blue. Keep the eye whites, the paw and the suit white.
- 6Finish with the gray moons, the yellow stars, and the yellow stripes along the fin edges. Optional: add a little darker shading on the lower fins and flame edges for depth.
