Wheelbarrow Piled High With Pumpkins

A wooden wheelbarrow loaded with five plump pumpkins sits in the center of the page. One big pumpkin rides on top while smaller ones are tucked in around it. Curly vines and large leaves spill over the sides of the cart, and the front wheel has chunky spokes. A picket fence runs across the page behind it, with two more pumpkins growing in the patch on either side. Another pumpkin with leaves rests in the grass at the bottom right, small grass tufts dot the ground, and two puffy clouds float in the sky. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big pumpkins: color the large pumpkins in the center, the pumpkins piled in the wheelbarrow, and the bottom right pumpkin with bright orange, leaving the small highlight on the top pumpkin white.
- 2Add a deeper orange shade to the pumpkin edges and the smaller pumpkins on the sides, using pumpkin orange for variety.
- 3Color the wheelbarrow box, handle, legs, and axle bar with wood brown, and the fence posts with light tan.
- 4Fill the wheel tire with charcoal gray and the wheel spokes and hub with caramel brown, leaving the tiny hub highlights white.
- 5Color all the leaves and curly vines with leaf green, then fill the grass patches and the right side of the background with grass green.
- 6Color the top bushes with lemon yellow, the sky on the left cloud with sky blue, and leave the right cloud white. Optional: Add slightly darker strokes on the wood and the pumpkin sides for a bit of depth.
