Whole Watermelon With Slice and Loose Seeds

Coloring guide
A large round watermelon fills most of the page, with wavy stripes running from the stem end at the top down around the sides. In front of it sits a big wedge-shaped slice with a thick double-lined rind and a smooth inner edge. Ten small teardrop seeds are spaced in a curve across the slice, and three more seeds lie loose near the bottom right corner. The outlines are clean and the stripe sections are wide, so younger kids can stay inside the lines with crayons. Try two shades of green for the alternating stripes, then pick pink or red for the flesh and leave the seeds black. Teachers could also use the page to count the seeds or talk about the parts of a fruit. It's a printable page that works well for summer lessons or a quiet afternoon at home.
