• pale cream
• golden tan
• medium brown
• burnt orange

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Fill the big wing feathers on both wings and the feathers at the bottom with golden tan, leaving small gaps between feathers.
2. 2Color the chest and belly of the owl with pale cream, and keep the face disc white.
3. 3Use burnt orange for the rim around the top and sides of the face.
4. 4Color the darker feather tips and inner wing feathers with medium brown, and the far left wing tips with dark brown.
5. 5Fill the talons at the bottom right with bright yellow, and keep the eye highlights white.
6. 6Optional: Add a little light shading with a darker shade of tan on the lower edges of the wings to give them depth.
