A grinning, curly-haired cherub swoops across the sky with a satchel crammed full of envelopes. The bag has a heart-shaped clasp and a long strap over his shoulder, and he grips it with both hands while flying barefoot. Behind him, three more envelopes with tiny heart seals flutter along with little motion lines, and fluffy outlined clouds fill the bottom corners. His feathered wings are spread wide and he wears a simple draped cloth. Curls, feathers, and clouds give kids lots to color, and the bigger bag and envelopes are better for smaller hands. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the clouds and both wings: fill the three clouds and the two wings with sky blue, leaving the envelopes and toga white.
- 2Color the curly hair with golden yellow, then fill the clasp tab on the satchel with the same golden yellow.
- 3Fill the face, both arms, the hand, and the legs and feet with light peach, keeping the eye whites and the smile area white.
- 4Color the satchel, its strap, and the lower corner with warm brown.
- 5Add the hearts in rose red and coral pink on the satchel clasp and on the envelopes, keeping the envelopes and the toga white.
- 6Optional: add soft shading with a slightly darker peach on the cheeks and a little deeper blue on the wing edges for depth.
