Fruit Basket Packed with Bananas, Pears and Grapes
Coloring guide
A big woven basket with a rope-twist rim and a tall arched handle sits on a checkered tablecloth, full of fruit. Inside are a bunch of bananas leaning on the handle, two apples with little leaves, two pears with curved stems, and a cluster of round grapes with a leafy vine tucked beside it. A small vase of flowers sits in the top right corner as a sweet extra. Between the basketweave and the tablecloth grid, there are lots of small spaces to fill, so steady crayon or colored pencil work suits it best. Yellow bananas and rich purple grapes look great, and two shades of green on the pears and leaves help each fruit stand apart. Try this free printable for a healthy-eating lesson or a calm afternoon. - 1Start with the big yellow bananas on the left side of the basket using golden yellow, leaving the small tip areas as you like.
- 2Color the two apples at the front and back in bright red, keeping the small shiny spots on them white.
- 3Fill the pears and their leaves with lime green, then color the grape leaf with leaf green.
- 4Color the grapes in grape purple, leaving small white highlight spots on each grape, and the flower vase in sky blue.
- 5Fill the woven basket in light tan and the rim and base in chestnut brown, then color the tablecloth squares alternately in coral pink and cream.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading under the fruit and along the basket weave to make everything feel more rounded.
