Young Buck in a Grassy Field Facing Forward

A young buck stands in a grassy field with his body turned to the side and his head facing forward, looking right at you. He has two slim antlers, large ears with detailed inner lines, and a short tail with a patch of fur at the base. His thin legs are drawn with small hooves, and tufts of tall grass grow around them. Behind him, big leafy bushes and a tree with bare branches fill the left side. A few small birds fly in the open sky, and wavy clouds stretch across the top. The large body shape is easy to fill in, so younger kids can use soft browns and tans there. Older kids might try a different shade for the ears, belly, and tail patch. It also works well for a short talk about how bucks grow antlers. You can print it free at home or in class.
