Cave Explorer Printable for Blippi Fans
Coloring guide
With a glowing headlamp on his hard hat, a smiling boy walks across a rocky cave floor while beams of light shoot out ahead. He's dressed in a zip-up hoodie, cargo pants with a side pocket and lace-up hiking boots, and he carries a backpack with a mesh side pocket and chest strap. One hand holds a backpack strap and the other reaches out as he steps forward. Pointed stalagmites, long stalactites and piles of rounded rocks surround him. Farther back, the cave opens onto a small rippling stream. Bright yellow would make a great light beam, and the hard hat could be bold red or orange. There's lots of rocky texture here, so kids who like coloring in detail will be happy. It also works well for a cave unit or a quiet afternoon. Love this Blippi coloring page? - tangerine orange
- olive green
- caramel brown
- light peach
- lemon yellow
- stone gray

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big cave walls and ceiling: color the stalactites and rock formations in honey gold and caramel brown, and leave the icy tips of the stalactites white.
- 2Fill the rocky floor and the boulders with light tan and stone gray, keeping some small areas white for a sparkly, rocky look.
- 3Color the stream winding through the cave in sky blue, leaving a thin white edge along the water to suggest a shine.
- 4Color the boy's jacket in tangerine orange, his pants and pocket in olive green, and his boots in caramel brown and charcoal gray, leaving the backpack mostly white.
- 5Add the helmet in lemon yellow with its strap in charcoal gray, color the face and hand in light peach, and leave the eyes and the headlamp glass white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker brown along the edges of the rocks and jacket to make the drawing feel more dimensional.
