Zazu the Hornbill Standing With Long Tail Feathers

A cartoon hornbill stands on two big webbed feet and looks off to the side with a sly, half-lidded eye. Its large curved beak is wide open, and a small tuft of feathers sits on top of its head. The wings hang down at its sides with layered feathers at the tips. Two very long tail feathers sweep out behind it toward the upper left, each with a few bands drawn across it. This looks like Zazu from The Lion King, the king's helpful advisor. The big beak, the long tail and the plain background leave lots of room for color. Try a bright blue for the body, red or orange for the beak, and a different shade on each tail feather so the stripes stand out. It's a free printable that works well for kids who like big open areas, and you can talk about how birds use their beaks and tails.
