Adult Wolf Sniffing Pup Among Forest Grass
Coloring guide
A large wolf leans down toward a small pup in a forest clearing. The adult has a thick, shaggy coat, pointed ears, wide eyes, and its tongue hanging out of its open mouth. Its bushy tail droops behind it and one front paw reaches forward. The pup stands close to the ground with big upright ears, a round eye, and a short tail curled to one side, and its nose is pointed down toward the ground. Tufts of grass grow around both animals, and spruce branches with needle-like lines fill the top of the page, with a small cloud peeking out between them. This free printable gives kids plenty of fur texture to practice with. Try gray and brown pencils for the adult's coat, then a lighter shade for the pup so the size difference stands out. It also works well for a talk about how wolf families care for their young.
