Sweet Wolf Pup Sitting Up in the Grass

Coloring guide
Sitting upright and looking right at you, this fluffy wolf pup has big sparkly eyes, a little round nose and a happy open smile with the tongue showing. The pointed ears have inner outlines, and tufts of fur frame the cheeks, forehead and chest. Its bushy tail curls around the front and rests beside the two front paws. A few blades of grass sit in the bottom corners, and the rest of the background is plain. Large shapes and clear lines work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids, while the fur tufts give older children something to work on. Print it free at home or at school. Silvery blues and soft grays make nice fur, with a pale cream chest and bright green grass. Looking for more? Our Bat and Sea Animals coloring pages pair nicely with this Wolves page.

- bright orange
- peach pink
- coral pink
- chocolate brown
- cream
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big orange areas: fill the chest fur, both haunches, the long fluffy tail and the front paws with bright orange, leaving the eyes and face white.
- 2Color the inside of both ears peach pink, keeping the outer ear lines clean.
- 3Fill the nose with chocolate brown and the tongue with coral pink.
- 4Add a small cream stripe down the middle of the belly between the front legs.
- 5Leave the shiny spots in both eyes white so the eyes look bright and lively, and keep the face fur white.
- 6Optional: Add a slightly darker orange in the shadowed parts of the tail and under the paws to make the pup look fluffier.
