Baby Bee Hugging a Honey Pot

Coloring guide
Here a little bee with long eyelashes, big sparkly eyes and a wide open smile wraps both arms around a round honey pot. Thick honey drips down one side, and a single drop is marked on the front. The bee has two round-tipped antennae, a small curl of hair on top, two rounded wings and a striped tummy, and one foot peeks out at the bottom left. A honey dipper rests on the ground in front of the pot. With no background, the page stays clean and leaves lots of room for small hands. Preschoolers can handle the big shapes, and older kids will enjoy the stripes and drips. Golden yellow works well for the honey and stripes, with blue or lilac wings for contrast. It's a free printable that fits a spring or garden theme nicely. Kids who like Bee coloring pages usually enjoy Puppies and Cats too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- golden yellow
- clay brown
- sky blue
- honey gold
- dark brown
- tan
- coral orange
- rose pink
- lemon yellow

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big yellow areas: color the bee's head, body stripes, arms, legs and antennae with golden yellow, leaving the eye whites and the background white.
- 2Fill the two wings with sky blue, keeping the wings light and even.
- 3Color the honey pot body and bottom band with clay brown, then add the dipper handle and neck in tan and amber orange.
- 4Use dark brown for the bee's stripes on the back and the tip of the stinger.
- 5Add honey gold to the pot's rim surface and the dipper ridges, and color the antenna balls coral orange.
- 6Finish with rose pink for the mouth and nose, and lemon yellow for the small honey drop. Optional: add a little darker shading under the pot and bee to make them pop.
