Baby Chick Watering Spring Flowers
Coloring guide
On two little feet, a smiling chick tips a watering can over a row of blooming flowers. Water droplets fall from the spout toward three flowers with big round petals, pointed leaves and long stems. The chick has a tuft of feathers on its head, big sparkly lashed eyes, an open beak and a tiny wing gripping the can. Up above, a round sun with short rays shines next to two fluffy clouds, and grass tufts dot the ground. The wide petals and large shapes are simple for small hands to fill in. Soft yellow suits the chick, bright pink or purple the flowers, and light blue the falling drops. A nice free printable for a quiet spring or Easter afternoon at home or in the classroom. This fits right in with our Baby Chicks coloring pages — see also Easter Eggs and Easter Bunny.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- golden yellow

- coral pink
- bright blue
- tangerine orange
- leaf green

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the chick's head, body, wings and the sun with golden yellow, leaving the eye whites and the background white.
- 2Fill the clouds and falling water drops with pale blue, then color the watering can and its handle bright blue.
- 3Color the big flower's petals coral pink and the left flower's petals lavender purple, with their centers in golden yellow.
- 4Color the orange flower on the right with tangerine orange petals and golden yellow center, then fill the beak and feet with tangerine orange.
- 5Color the stems and leaves leaf green, and leave the grass tufts uncolored for a fresh spring feel.
- 6Optional: add a few lighter or darker strokes on the chick and petals to give them a little shading.
