Baby Elephant Connect the Dots Activity Sheets
Coloring guide
With its trunk raised high, a smiling baby elephant sprays a fountain of water droplets from the tip. A little bird perches on its back near the big round ear, and the elephant has wide sparkly eyes and a tiny tuft of hair on its head. Parts of the outline are numbered dots from 1 to 30, so kids can trace along the trunk, ear, tail and legs before they color. The tail ends in a leafy tuft. Two daisy-style flowers and a few grass clumps fill the ground around the elephant's feet. It's a good free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids practicing counting and pencil control. Soft sky blue for the elephant, bright yellow for the bird and pink and orange petals on the flowers would look lovely. - sky blue
- coral pink
- golden yellow
- light gray
- charcoal gray
- cherry red
- tangerine orange
- leaf green
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the water spray at the top left and its drops in sky blue, leaving the elephant head and background white.
- 2Fill the inside of the trunk with blush pink, then color the bird's body and head in golden yellow and its wing in sky blue.
- 3Color the big flower with coral pink petals and a golden yellow center, then add the small flowers in coral pink and tangerine orange.
- 4Add the light gray back leg and left front leg, and fill the tail with charcoal gray, keeping the elephant body and toenails white.
- 5Use cherry red for the tongue and leaf green for the leaf on the left side.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along the trunk and tail with a deeper shade of the same color. Keep the eyes' white shine spots untouched.
