Baby Pumpkin Halloween Costume Sitting on a Hay Bale

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• pumpkin orange
• golden yellow
• forest green
• peach skin
• chocolate brown
• grass green
• warm tan
• coral pink

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Fill the hay bale and the ground underneath with golden yellow, leaving the straw strands and the tan bands for later.
2. 2Color the big pumpkin parts, including the hat, body, chest and neck, with pumpkin orange.
3. 3Color the face, ears and hands with peach skin, keeping the eye shine spots white.
4. 4Color the sleeves, pants and pumpkin stem with forest green, then fill the two collar leaves with grass green.
5. 5Color the shoes and hair with chocolate brown, and add warm tan to the hay bale bands. Use coral pink for the open mouth and tongue.
6. 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the pumpkin and hay edges with a second shade of the same color for more depth.
