Berry Snack Time for a Baby Raccoon
Coloring guide
Sitting upright with big eyes, a baby raccoon lifts a small bunch of berries to its smiling mouth with both paws. Fluffy cheeks and pointed ears show clearly, and the striped, ringed tail curls around the left side of the page. On the right, a leafy branch hangs down with large pointed leaves and several clusters of round berries, and a few loose berries and grass tufts sit on the ground below. Clean, bold outlines and roomy shapes make it easy for preschoolers and early elementary kids, while the fur and leaves give older children something to work on. Soft gray and charcoal work for the fur and tail rings, deep blueberry blue or purple for the berries, and fresh green for the leaves. It's a free printable PDF, handy for class or a weekend craft. - 3Color the inside of both ears soft pink and the tongue soft pink too.
- 4Paint the leaves and branches leaf green, and the branch stem chestnut brown.
- 5Color all the berries bright red, adding a little brick red shading on one side of the top berry cluster.
- 6Optional: Add darker charcoal gray on the tail band, tail tip, and tail base for a striped look.
