Balloon Basket Wave Above the Apple Tree Field

A little animal in a bonnet waves from a wicker basket under a striped hot air balloon, floating above a grassy field. Below, a chipmunk-like critter with striped cheeks lifts both arms and looks up at the balloon. A mouse in suspenders and shorts walks toward the tree, long tail trailing behind, while a rabbit in a dress and puffed sleeves stands facing the same way. On the right, a big tree with a cloud-shaped crown holds three round apples, and a small step stool sits by the trunk. The lines are clean and the shapes are large, so this works well for younger kids. Try coloring the balloon panels in alternating bright colors and the apples red or green, then ask your child to count the apples and the characters on the ground. It is a free printable that fits a quiet afternoon at home or a classroom activity.
