Squirrel Curled Up with a Book on the Sofa

A squirrel with a big round tail sits on a cozy sofa, holding an open book up in front of its face. It wears a simple dress and has little stripes on its forehead and whiskers on its cheeks. Next to the sofa is a small side table with a teacup and saucer on top. Behind it stands a taller table with an old-fashioned rotary telephone, a curly cord, and a little holder with a pencil in it. A window with tied-back curtains and a ruffled valance fills the left side of the room. A cone-shaped ceiling lamp hangs above, and a round wall clock with Roman numerals is on the right. Try coloring the curtains and sofa in a matching set of colors, then ask kids to read the clock and say what time it shows. The free printable also works well for practicing small details with fine-tip markers.
