Barbie and Ken Relaxing on a Beach Blanket
Coloring guide
On a blanket in the sand, a young woman with long, wavy, windswept hair hugs her knees and holds a small hat with a star on it. Next to her, a young man with short hair leans back on one elbow and looks up with a relaxed smile. She has a striped top and a layered, ruffled skirt with flat shoes, and his short-sleeved shirt has a round badge printed on it. Behind them, grassy dunes roll toward a steep cliff, with a few palm trees on the hilltop. Puffy clouds and three small seagulls fill the sky, and tiny shells and pebbles dot the sand. Stripes and wavy hair are fun to color, so bright coral or turquoise stripes would suit her outfit. Print this free page whenever you want a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the large blanket at the bottom and the dune on the hill by coloring them coral red and light orange, leaving the sky and clouds white.
- 2Fill the hilltop and the palm trees with grass green and forest green, and add a steel blue touch on the palm trunk.
- 3Color Barbie's skin areas such as her arms, legs, hands and face with peach skin, then add her coral red top and skirt.
- 4Color Ken's shirt and sleeve in bright blue and his shorts in navy blue, then add light orange on his collar and shirt stripes.
- 5Add golden yellow to the streaks on both sides of Barbie's hair, keeping the small highlight near the top of her head white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading in the same color on the blanket edges and the shadows under the figures to make the scene feel more relaxed.
