Be Mine Message in a Doily Lace Heart

A big heart fills the page with the handwritten words "be mine" across the middle in loopy, slanted lettering. The heart has a double outline, and a scalloped, lacy border runs all the way around the outside like a paper doily. Above the words, two pairs of curly swirls sit near the top of the heart, one on each side of the center dip. Near the bottom, two small hearts overlap each other, with a little curl on each side. The lines are bold and the spaces are fairly roomy, so it works well for kids who are still building control with markers or crayons. Try coloring each scallop on the border in a different shade, then pick two colors for the overlapping little hearts so you can see where one ends and the other begins. It's a nice one to make into a classroom Valentine's card.
