Jigsaw Puzzle Heart With Interlocking Pieces

Coloring guide
A large heart is divided into interlocking jigsaw puzzle pieces, each one outlined with a double line so the curvy knobs and sockets stand out. The pieces are arranged in a loose grid, with rounded tabs fitting into matching notches all across the shape. Pieces along the outer edge are cut off by the curve of the heart, while the ones in the middle are full puzzle shapes. There is no background and no extra decoration, just the heart and its puzzle cuts. Kids can color each piece a different shade, then notice how neighboring pieces connect. Older children could use only two or three colors and try to keep touching pieces from matching. This free printable also works well as a classroom activity about teamwork, since every piece has to fit together to make the whole heart.
