Bear Cub Skateboarding Along a Forest Trail
Coloring guide
In this free printable, a happy bear cub in a vented safety helmet rolls down a winding path on a skateboard. Both feet are on the board, the arms are out for balance, and the mouth is open in a big smile. Fluffy fur lines make the cub look cuddly and fun to shade. Tall pine trees, leafy bushes, tufts of grass, small rocks and a curvy trail surround him. In the upper right corner, a cheerful butterfly flutters along behind a dotted flight trail. Large shapes and clear outlines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids. Red or blue would look good on the helmet, with warm browns for the bear and fresh greens for the trees and bushes. - 1Start with the bear: fill the head, belly, arms, legs and both ears with caramel brown, leaving the eye whites and the eye highlights white.
- 2Color the helmet sky blue, then add the helmet stripe in royal blue and the helmet vents in golden yellow. Fill the little helmet ear pads and the tongue with baby pink.
- 3Fill the skateboard deck with sky blue, add the golden yellow stripe along the top, and color the edge pale lime.
- 4Color the wheels cherry red, and fill the axles with light gray and dark gray. Keep the gaps between them white.
- 5Use forest green for the two pine trees, lime green for the small bush, light gray for the rock, and hot pink for the butterfly, with its body in the same pink. Optional: add a few darker strokes on the bear's fur for depth.
