Skating Belle Glides as the Beast Slips Behind Her

Belle glides across the ice in a long coat trimmed with fur at the collar, cuffs and hem. Her eyes are closed, her arms are held out for balance, and she wears ice skates with fur-trimmed boots. Behind her the Beast crouches near the edge of the ice with both arms raised, his cape flowing out behind him and his claws gripping the ground. Small icicles hang from the ice edge and from his feet. A bare tree with snow on its branches stands on the left, with snowy bushes and rolling hills in the background. The big open areas of ice and sky work well for pale blue watercolor or crayon blending. Try using soft whites and light blues for the snow, then warmer colors for Belle's coat so she stands out against the winter scene.
