Coloring guide
On a small podium, a smiling barefoot boy in a karate uniform gets his belt tied by a kneeling instructor with a hair bun. Four kids in uniforms stand around them, grinning and clapping, and a few have their palms pressed together. In the bottom left corner sits a big trophy cup, with flowers and award rosettes along the bottom edge. The podium front shows a laurel wreath and a kicking figure. The dojo is full of extras too: a wall banner with the same kicking emblem, a rack of folded belts, ribbons, a leafy branch, and a big window with trees outside. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin: color all the faces and hands peach, and fill the coach's hair and bun and the boy's hair with chestnut brown.
- 2Fill the big window areas with sky blue, the trees and bushes outside with grass green, and the hanging banner with royal blue. Leave the gi outfits white.
- 3Color the floor mats with coral red and medium blue, and the pedestal and floor tiles in light gray.
- 4Paint the belt the boy receives with lemon yellow, and the trophy cup and stand with golden yellow, adding mustard gold details if you like.
- 5Add the coach's charcoal black belt, the left boy's royal blue belt, and the red rosette with bright red and coral red. Keep the gi, eye whites and wreath white.
- 6Optional: Add a slightly darker shade of each color along one side of the gi folds and the trophy for a little depth.
