Giant Snowball Rolling Dog and Puppy, The Grinch Coloring Page
Coloring guide
Leaning over a huge snowball, a big, shaggy dog with floppy ears and a curly tuft on its head presses both paws on top and grins widely. A small puppy with a collar and a tiny tag stands on its hind legs next to it, pushing with its front paws and wagging its tail. A smiling snowman with a carrot nose and two big buttons watches from behind. Snow-dusted pines and rolling hills fill the background, with little snow mounds dotting the ground. Thick outlines and large open shapes make this free printable easy for young colorers. Warm golden-brown for the big dog and soft icy blue for the sky and snow shadows will let that orange carrot nose stand out. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the Grinch's red coat and the snowman's scarf using bright red, leaving the white fur collar and cuffs untouched.
- 2Fill the Grinch's face, hands, feet, and hair with lime green, keeping the teeth and the white parts of the eyes white.
- 3Color the puppy's body and head with caramel tan, then add chocolate brown to its tail and darker back.
- 4Use pine green for the pine trees, leaving the snowy tops white, and charcoal gray for the snowman's hat and hat band.
- 5Finish with sky blue for the snowman's mitten, and leave the snowball, snow hills, and ground white. Optional: add a little pale sage on the frosty tree tops for extra depth.
