Big Hibiscus Bloom with Two Leaves, Hawaiian Flower Page

Coloring guide
One big hibiscus takes up the whole page. Its five wavy-edged petals fan out from the center, and thin curved lines run from the middle of each petal out to the edge, giving them a softly veined look. A long stamen rises up from the middle, topped with small round pollen dots and a few more dots along its sides. Two pointed, serrated leaves sit at the bottom left and right, each with a center vein and angled side veins. The background stays plain white so little hands can focus on the flower. Those large petals are easy to color inside the lines, which works nicely for preschoolers and early elementary kids. For a classic tropical look, go with red or hot pink petals, a yellow stamen and green leaves. Print it free and add it to your pile. Kids who like Hawaiian coloring pages usually enjoy Matryoshka Dolls and Sugar Skulls (Día de Muertos) too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- hibiscus red
- leaf green
- golden yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color all five big petals and the two side flower parts with hibiscus red, leaving the small gaps around them white.
- 2Fill both leaves with leaf green, working from the edges inward so the jagged tips stay neat.
- 3Color the long center tube and the base of the flower where the petals meet with golden yellow.
- 4Fill the round tips at the top of the tube with hibiscus red, and leave the small circles along the sides of the tube white with their black outlines.
- 5Keep the background and the tiny white gaps between the petals and leaves uncolored so the shapes stand out.
- 6Optional: Add light back-and-forth strokes in a slightly darker red on the petals to give a soft, textured look.
