A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Leave the sky, the light sand and the empty beach areas white, and keep the tiny highlights on the palm fronds white.
- 2Fill the sea and the waves on both sides with sky blue, leaving the thin wave lines dark.
- 3Color the girl's face, arms, legs and belly with warm peach, and the palm trunks with light tan, adding walnut brown on the shaded side of each trunk.
- 4Use lime green for the palm fronds and the bright skirt strands, then use leaf green for the darker bush and the shaded skirt strands at the bottom.
- 5Color the long hair with chestnut brown, then fill the hibiscus flowers, the bikini top and the flower lei with cherry red, using coral red for the wrist flower centers.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading under the skirt and on the lower palm fronds to make the picture feel more dimensional.
