Bison Walking Inside a Floral Mandala Circle

A large bison walks to the left with its head lowered, and its curved horn and small eye are easy to spot. Its shaggy hump and shoulder are drawn with wavy lines, and the long tail ends in a tuft of striped hair. Around the animal, a round wreath of swirling leaves, curling vines, berries, buds and small daisy-like flowers fills the background with plenty of fine detail. The bison itself has big open areas, so it works well for younger kids, while the busy border gives older kids and adults something to focus on. Try coloring the bison in warm browns and keeping the wreath in greens, pinks and yellows so the animal stands out. It also fits a short lesson on North American animals.
