A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big jacket areas: color the puffy jacket, both sleeves, and the paper flag streamers bright red, leaving the thin white zipper and seam lines untouched.
- 2Fill the hood collar and the tops and bottoms of both lanterns golden yellow, then color the lantern bodies bright red.
- 3Color the face, ears, neck and both hands peach, the hair chestnut brown, and the open mouth coral red, keeping the eye whites white.
- 4Color the jeans royal blue, the pavement light gray, the bushes leaf green, and the flower pot orange with a rust brown base.
- 5Optional: Add the red pillar, dark roof tiles, and wall tops in charcoal gray and dark red, and use stone gray in small shadows on the sleeves and fist; leave the background and confetti white.
