Brushing Time for a Mermaid on a Round Rock

On a big rounded rock sits a cheerful little mermaid, brush in one hand and a lock of her long, wavy hair in the other. A small starfish clip is tucked into her hair, and she has on a shell-shaped top. Rows of scalloped scales cover her tail, which ends in a wide fin curling down in front of the rock. A few simple wavy lines at the bottom suggest the water. The large shapes of the hair, tail and rock suit small hands, and the scales add a bit more detail for older kids. Soft turquoise and purple would look good on the scales, with bright coral for the starfish clip. It's a free printable that works for a quiet afternoon at home or a calm classroom activity.
