LOVE Word Art with Butterflies and Hearts

The word LOVE fills the middle of this page in big, chunky bubble letters, with a little heart tucked inside the O. Three smiling butterflies flutter around it, one at the top left, one at the upper right and one at the bottom left. Each has curly antennae, heart patterns on its wings and small circles on the lower wings. Hearts of all sizes drift along the edges, from large outlined ones at the top and bottom to tiny ones scattered between the letters. Thick outlines and roomy shapes work nicely with crayons and chunky markers, and the page is free to print as a PDF. You could give every letter its own bright color, put a pink and purple pattern on the wings, and fill the hearts with a rainbow. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the V letter with lavender purple and the E letter with sky blue, leaving the small gap between the V arms white.
- 2Color the L letter, the bottom right heart, the right heart, the small lower right heart, the small bottom left heart, the small left heart and the small top middle heart with light pink.
- 3Fill the O letter, the large bottom heart, the upper left heart, the small lower left heart, the small bottom heart, the small top right heart and the small right heart with coral red, keeping the heart inside the O white.
- 4Color the large top heart, the small hearts on the butterfly wings and the butterfly body stripes with hot pink.
- 5Fill the butterfly wings and heads with golden yellow, leaving the small wing circles white.
- 6Optional: add a darker shade of each color along one edge of the big letters to make them look rounder.
