Busy Coral Reef Scene, Sea Animals (General) With Angelfish and Clownfish

Right in the middle of this busy reef swims a big striped angelfish with a friendly smile, surrounded by other tropical fish. Look for a spotted fish at the top left, a banded butterflyfish at the top right, a clownfish with bold patches, and a second clownfish peeking out of a sea anemone near the bottom. Tiny fish swim in small groups along the left and right sides, and bubbles drift up from the wavy water line at the top. Branching corals, tube sponges and anemones fill the background, and a starfish, a scallop shell and two spiral shells rest on the sandy seabed. With so many small sections, it's a good free printable for kids who like detail. Orange and white work well for the clownfish, and bright yellow and blue stripes for the big angelfish. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the sky blue water behind the central angelfish and the seaweed and coral at the edges in sea green.
- 2Fill the large angelfish with golden yellow on its body and butter yellow on its lower body, leaving the white stripes white.
- 3Color the clownfish with tangerine orange, then add the lemon yellow tail details and the white stripes in between.
- 4Paint the sea anemone and anemone fish with lavender purple and terracotta, and color the sand, starfish and shells in pale yellow and cream.
- 5Add coral red and periwinkle blue to the branch corals and tube sponges, keep the eye whites white, and finish with the small fish and seaweed.
- 6Optional: Add a slightly darker shade of each color along one side of the fish and corals for depth.
