Butterfly Visits a Koala on a Branch

Coloring guide
A fluffy baby koala sits on a thick branch with a small butterfly landed right on the tip of its nose, and its big round eyes look up at it. Three more butterflies flutter over the koala's head, with dashed lines tracing where they've flown. Large round ears with fuzzy edges frame the smiling face, and the paws grip the branch in front. Long eucalyptus leaves and clusters of fluffy gumnut blossoms fill the corners, so little hands get plenty of different shapes to color. Soft grays and blues suit the koala's fur, and bright pinks, oranges and purples on the butterfly wings will make them pop. Download and print this free page for class time or a rainy day. - 3Paint the tree branch warm brown, then fill the eucalyptus leaves with leaf green and add soft green to a few of the lighter leaves.
- 4Color the gum nuts and flower buds pale lime, and use sage gray for the small shaded spots under them.
- 5Fill all the butterfly wings with orange, leaving the white dots and edges unpainted.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of dark gray on the koala's body to suggest fluffy fur shadows.
