Ruffled Gown and Monocle at the Calico Critters Formal Ball
Coloring guide
A group of animal characters in fancy clothes gather on a tiled ballroom floor. A critter in a long ruffled gown with a flower at the waist stands in the middle, arms stretched out. Beside her a pig in a coat wears a monocle, and another critter in a tailcoat faces away from us. Two characters on the right hold open folding fans, one of them a rabbit with a flower hairpiece. A critter in a long dress holds up her skirt, and a pig in a hat sits at the far left. Heavy curtains, a curved staircase railing and two statues in wall niches fill the background. For coloring, try pale pastels for the gowns and deeper shades for the tailcoats, then add pattern to the fans. Kids can also practice small details on the hem trim and the floor tiles.
