Candle, Open Bible and Cross for Good Friday
Coloring guide
A quiet, peaceful Good Friday scene appears on a free printable coloring page. On the left, a tall candle with a glowing flame stands in a round candleholder, with small rays around the flame and wax drips down its side. A wooden cross hangs on the wall behind it against tall vertical panels. Up front, a big open book rests on a round wooden table, showing wood grain lines and a thick stack of pages. Bold outlines and large open areas suit younger children, and the simple setting is good for a calm classroom or family activity. Color the flame warm yellow and orange, then use soft browns on the table and wall panels so the candle stays the star of the page. Love this Good Friday coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the candle body, the wax drips on top, the open Bible pages and all their page edges with soft cream, leaving the tiny inner tip of the flame white.
- 2Color the candlestick from its top collar down to its round base, along with the small rings, using golden yellow.
- 3Color the outer shape of the flame with golden yellow so it stands out against the white background.
- 4Fill the center of the cross with warm brown and leave its white outline around it as a border.
- 5Color the small cap and ball on top of the cross and the round knob on the Bible's spine with golden yellow.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of soft cream along the lower edges of the candle and Bible pages to add depth.
