Captain America Bursting Forward, Shield Across His Body

Captain America bursts toward the viewer with one fist pulled back and a round shield held across his body. He wears a cowl with a letter A on the forehead and small wings at the sides, a scale-textured top with a big star on the chest, striped lines across the belly, a belt, and tall cuffed boots. The shield has rings around a central star. Behind him, curved speed lines sweep down the page, and several outlined stars of different sizes trail along the bottom edges. The pen-style hatching gives lots of shading to work with. Try red, white, and blue for the shield rings, then leave the speed lines light so the hero stands out. Younger kids can start with the large stars, while older kids can try shading the boots and legs.
