Cheerful City Bus Driver at the Wheel
Coloring guide
Look through the big front windshield and you'll see a grinning driver in a peaked cap, both hands on the steering wheel of a small city bus. The bus is drawn at an angle, with round headlights, a grille, a front license plate and a large side mirror. A row of tall windows with seats runs down the side, and a rearview mirror hangs at the top of the windshield. Behind it, a tall street lamp stands by the curb, with a leafy tree on the left and a smaller one on the right. Dashed road markings cross the pavement up front. Bold, clean lines and big open areas keep this free printable easy for little ones. Sunny yellow works well for the bus, navy for the cap and uniform, and green for the trees. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the bus body, roof and front panel with golden yellow, leaving the small round headlights and the windows for later.
- 2Fill the windshield and the side windows with sky blue, then color the seats and the driver's jacket with royal blue.
- 3Color the tree crowns with leaf green and the trunks with tan brown, then add the lamp glass in bright yellow.
- 4Paint the driver's face with peach, his hair with brown, and his cap with royal blue, keeping the small highlights white.
- 5Use dark gray for the mirrors, tires, grille and lamp post, and light gray for the license plate and wheel hubs. Keep the road markings white.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of a slightly darker golden yellow along the lower bus sides for depth.
