Child Building a Sandcastle on the Beach

A small child in a striped bucket hat crouches on the sand and pats a tall mound into shape with both hands. The child wears a polka dot swimsuit and has a little ponytail sticking out at the back. A couple of smaller sand piles sit nearby, dotted with tiny pebbles. Behind them, foamy waves roll up the shore, and the sea stretches out to a flat horizon. Two sailboats float in the distance, one with stripes on its sail, and a sun with long rays shines in the corner of the sky. This free printable page gives kids lots of textures to work with. Try colors for the hat stripes, then use light tan and a darker brown on the sand piles to show wet and dry sand. It also makes a nice prompt for talking about a day at the seaside.
