Chinese Dragon Mandala with Striped Body and Spiky Mane

Chinese Dragon Mandala with Striped Body and Spiky Mane coloring sheet

Coloring guide

A long Chinese dragon curls across the middle of a round mandala, its body twisting in an S shape like a yin yang swirl. The head sits on the left with a spiky, feathery mane sweeping up and back, and the whole body is covered in wavy stripes that follow its curves. The tail loops around on the lower right. Behind the dragon, a ring of rounded triangle shapes circles the page, and each one holds a small cloud-like or tulip-like flower. Thin outlines overlap in places, so there are plenty of small sections to fill in. For Chinese New Year, try warm reds and golds on the body and a calm blue or green on the background petals. Kids can also alternate two colors along the stripes to practice patterns. The page is free to print, and the fine lines suit colored pencils or fine markers best.
