Leaning out of the cab of a steam locomotive, a smiling clown waves as the train rolls along the tracks. He has a small hat with a flower, a big polka-dot bow tie and a round nose. The engine has a star on the front, a tall smokestack puffing a big cloud, and spoked wheels. Behind it, one car carries a circus tent top with a little flag, curtains and stars, and the last car is a small wagon with a star, packed with balloons. - 1Start with the big grassy areas and hills in lime green, then fill the bushes and the tree with forest green and mint green.
- 2Color the train body, the cab walls and the wagon panels in royal blue, and the cab roof and tent stripes in sky blue.
- 3Fill the front plate, the cab, the tent stripes, the flag and the balloons in cherry red, leaving the white tent highlights untouched.
- 4Add bright yellow to the big star and the wheels, and golden yellow to the tent valance and curtains.
- 5Color the clown's hair in orange and his face and hand in peach, keeping the eye whites and the clouds and sun white.
- 6Optional: shade the chimney in charcoal gray and the track ties in chocolate brown for a bit more depth.
