A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big wooden areas: color the desk, the table top and the table legs in caramel orange and warm brown, leaving the cream calendar and wall areas for later.
- 2Fill the calendar board and its frame with cream and caramel orange, then color the cells in cream so the grid stays clear.
- 3Color the two kids: give the boy a royal blue hoodie with peach faces and hands, warm brown hair, and a medium blue sleeve detail; give the girl a coral pink sweater and warm brown hair with peach skin.
- 4Add the blue and green touches: bright sky blue for the globe, leaf green and sage green for the plants and the window view, and pale blue for the sky.
- 5Color the books on the table: royal blue and tomato red on the left stack, plum purple and cream on the right stack, and keep the open notebook pages white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shade under the kids' sleeves and along the table edge for depth, and leave the cloud and highlights white.
