A smiling calf lies in the grass with its back against the trunk of a big apple tree, legs tucked under and a few patches drawn on its body. Round apples hang from the leafy branches overhead, and a small bird perches on one limb. Two butterflies with dotted flight trails flutter on either side of the cow. Along the bottom there are tufts of grass and two fallen apples, with rounded bushes filling the background. - 1Start with the apples, leaves and small leaf clusters in lime green and bright red, leaving a little white shine on each apple.
- 2Fill the tree canopy and bushes in forest green, then color the tree trunk and branches in caramel brown.
- 3Color the cow's main body and back spots in caramel brown, and the belly, back and hind leg areas in cream.
- 4Color the bird in sky blue, the cow's horns and tuft of hair in pale yellow, and the hooves, tail and tail tip in chocolate brown.
- 5Optional: Add pale pink to the muzzle and inner ear, and leave the dashed butterfly trails and the background white.
