Cozy Sleeping Bear Cub in a Snowy Cave

Coloring guide
Fast asleep on a rocky cave floor, this fluffy cub rests its head on its front paws, eyes closed in a peaceful curve. The round ears, small nose and gentle smile make it a sweet one to color. A big stone arch with cracks and ridges frames the scene from behind. Outside, a few snowflakes and little round snowballs drift down. Down on the floor you'll spot scattered pebbles, some rocks in the lower left corner, and a small pile of leaves on the right with a couple more lying close by. Kids who love calm, cozy pictures will enjoy this free printable. Brown and honey tones suit the fur, cool grays work for the stones, and light icy blue is nice for the snowflakes. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the bear: fill its whole body, head, paws and rear leg with caramel brown, leaving the eyes and muzzle area for later.
- 2Color the inside of both ears with peach pink so the bear looks soft and cozy.
- 3Fill the cave walls and rocks with light stone gray, then use dark slate gray for the deep back wall and darker cave corners behind the bear.
- 4Shade the bottom rocks and a few cave edges with medium gray, and color the small pebbles on the ground with ice blue, leaving some pebbles white.
- 5Color the leaf pile with forest green and leaf green, leaving some leaves white for a nice contrast.
- 6Optional: Add a few light strokes of darker brown on the bear's back and a little extra gray on the rocks to give the fur and stone a soft, textured look.
