Crab Gone Fishing Beside a Lighthouse
Coloring guide
A happy crab with big round eyes has found a flat rocky ledge to fish from. He holds a fishing rod in one claw and the line dips down into the water below, while a small bucket waits beside him for the catch. Wavy lines show the sea behind him, and three seagulls glide across the sky near a puffy cloud. On the right, a lighthouse with a little house stands on a tall cliff at the water's edge. Bold outlines and roomy shapes keep this free printable easy for young children, and the shells and rocks give older kids extra detail. An orange-red crab, a sunny yellow bucket and layered blues for the sea will help the lighthouse stripes stand out. - 2Fill the sea and sky areas in ocean blue, and the cloud on the left in pale sky blue.
- 3Color the rock island in stone gray, with the lighter warm light gray on the top surface and the bottom edges.
- 4Paint the lighthouse red bands and roof in coral red, keep its top and white stripe white, and fill the cliff in sandy tan with grass green and forest green bushes on top.
- 5Color the bucket in golden yellow with its water in olive green, and the fishing rod handle in wood brown.
- 6Optional: Leave the seagulls and eye whites white, and add small wave lines in a slightly darker blue for a finishing touch.
