Curious Puppy Sniffs Out an Easter Egg Hunt Find
Coloring guide
A floppy-eared puppy leans in with wide, curious eyes, its nose nearly touching a big egg sitting in the grass. The egg is covered in bands of polka dots, wavy lines and little rings, so there's lots to color. On the left, a small woven basket with a big bow and another egg peeking out sits by the puppy's front paw. Its tail curls up behind it, and grass tufts fill the bottom corners. Simple bold outlines and roomy shapes suit preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the egg patterns give older children some detail. Pastel pink, yellow and lavender stripes would look nice on the egg, and golden-brown fur on the puppy goes well with a bright blue bow on the basket. Print it for a quick coloring break any time. - 1Color the puppy's head, ears, body, and tail with caramel brown, leaving the eye whites and nose white.
- 2Fill the basket with caramel brown, then add the cream patch on the puppy's chest and the tan snout.
- 3Color the big egg's wide middle band with lemon yellow and its top and bottom bands with light blue.
- 4Fill the pink wave stripe and the dots on the egg with pink, and add the bow with pink.
- 5Color the eggs in the basket with sky blue, lilac purple, lavender, and golden yellow, then paint the grass green.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading on the puppy's body and the egg with a slightly darker shade of the same color for depth.
