Little Bunny Munching Watermelon Among Flowers
Coloring guide
A round-cheeked bunny sits upright in the grass, holding a juicy watermelon slice in both paws and taking a big bite. The slice has a thick rind and a row of seeds, so it's easy to spot and fun to color. Tall ears with inner outlines, big sparkly eyes, whiskers, and a fluffy tail add detail without crowding the page. Nearby are two daisy-like flowers on leafy stems, grass tufts, a leafy bush on the right, and a few leaves drifting by. Large shapes and clean lines make this free printable a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Pink or red suits the watermelon flesh, deep green the rind, and soft gray or light brown the bunny's fur. Pastel flowers would look lovely too. Love this Watermelon coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big cream belly and tail, leaving the white watermelon rind band and the flower petals white.
- 2Color the bunny's two paws, both sides of the body, and the cheeks area in warm brown, keeping the feet cream.
- 3Fill the inside of the long ears and the small nose with soft pink.
- 4Color the watermelon flesh red, add small dark seeds, and paint the thin rind edge leaf green.
- 5Use leaf green for the bush behind the bunny, the grass, and the stems and leaves of the flowers.
- 6Finish with golden yellow centers in both flowers. Optional: add a little darker brown under the paws and belly for a bit of depth.
