Egg-Shaped Chick with Oversized Eyes and a Wide Beak

A chubby, egg-shaped baby chick stands facing us with two oversized round eyes, small curved eyebrow lines, and a wide open beak that looks like a happy smile. Its little wings sit at both sides of the body, and it has two flat, wide feet planted at the bottom. A few short dashes mark the cheeks and the belly to suggest soft fluffy feathers. The outlines are thick and the shapes are big and simple, so this free printable works well for preschoolers and kids who are still building pencil control. Try coloring the body in classic yellow, then pick orange for the beak and feet. You can also talk about how baby chicks hatch from eggs and why they are covered in fluff.
