Diving Girl Making a Volleyball Dig
Coloring guide
Stretched out in a full dive, a smiling girl with a swishy ponytail is saving a volleyball just before it touches the floor. Her arms are locked together out front, her legs trail behind her in the air, and her sneakers have lots of lacing detail. She wears a short-sleeved V-neck jersey, shorts and chunky knee pads. Only a few straight lines mark the court boundaries behind her, so the page isn't too busy for younger kids. The big ball with curved panel seams is easy to color in. Bright teal or purple would suit the jersey, and a classic yellow and blue pattern works on the ball. This free coloring page is ready to print for classroom time or a rainy day. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big floor areas: color the wooden court floor in light orange, leaving the white court lines untouched.
- 2Fill the skin with peach, including the face, arms, legs, and hands.
- 3Color the hair in medium brown, using dark brown for the shadowed strands underneath and near the face.
- 4Make the volleyball by coloring the panels golden yellow and bright blue, keeping the white stripes and the top edge of the ball white.
- 5Add the red shirt in bright red, leaving the white trim on the sleeves and V-neck, then color the blue shorts in navy blue.
- 6Finish the small details: shoes in bright blue, navy blue and light gray with white parts left white, a rose red hair tie, and a soft pink tongue. Optional: add darker shading on the shadowed sides of the legs with a mocha brown.
